Delerious Skin

Delerious Skin

It sounds wrong
But the day that you tried
We didn't know they'd go straight

And let pour
Till the devil let you in
But you find it's delicious
Delerious skin

Moon, moon
Hanging, up above
Dips the sky behind us
Till the day lights up above

In it liked
In the dark of... the night
But you had blood warm him
On your delerious skin

Say goodbye, to your child my friend
She's just fine
But she's going away
In a big old plane
Where the dust settles thick
And green things are gone wrong
And she longs for deleriious skin

She'll be gone on a plane
Where the dust settles thick
And the green things are gone wrong
As she longs for delerioius skin

It sounds wrong...

I like it, it does not sound wrong to me, it sounds, not all but most of it, like a romantic song from the eighties.

Bye bye songrwritting friend.

Mariana,

Lovely to see you here. I think your '80's comment is pretty good. My line of music, country music, always lags behind pop music in its dioms, patterns, style, and to some extent content.

The reason I and others usually say we like this music, is the straight ahead honesty (similar to hip hop and rap) of our narratives. This song speaks to the deep loneliness an old friend felt when she moved west, from the green grass of Indiana, to a desert town, as a child. I am honored to see your name.
