Yeah a man will work
For the Jack that creates
Yeah he'll mind his Faith
To find You gone.
Ah the nautic pull...
being tired Splits away,
Heading off the fire
That pays the Lord.
And in days of faith
Getting at the Lord,
The Dawn....... out of "Why?"
Well, the name of fate
Won't unclothe 'cus you die,
But the morning fire's
The way to go.
I wade...
With the Dawn,
And fire from the dark
Getting at that time that
Fate said, "Go."
I pray...
Where the sun and fire go.
But the fire don't walk
Where I ----go.
Yeah, a man will work
For the Jack that creates
Yeah he'll mind his Faith
To find You gone.
I wade with the dawn,
And fire from the dark
And the morning fire's the way to go
This song is obviously a metaphysical treatment on watching sunrises and sunsets and searching for that certain something that some folks call God. It's worded a bit redundantly. So it needs work. But the basic jist of it I really love. Besides this was one of the first songs I ever thought sounded more than a bit like Gordon Lightfoot when I sang it, so I added this incredibly cheesy string intro to it, and to this day can't believe it's me when I sing it. So redundant words haven't yet ruined that.
